These photos were taken today while on a site visit to one of my projects in Morton Grove. It is a 2-story addition, that is basically a teardown of an old house and building this new monster. The whole house is custom.
This is one of my bigger projects in a while. The total square footage is about 3300 and there are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, plus two fireplaces and a modern kitchen. We put a large outdoor terrace over the garage, offering long-distance views of the adjacent neighborhood yet maintaining some sense of privacy with opaque railings. There is a mixture of brick and stone covering the outside as viewed from the street. On the interior, the vestibule opens up into a 2-story high cathedral ceiling with large windows, skylights, and a dormer all allowing tons of natural light to pour into the living spaces.
All in all it's been a great project and I cannot wait to see the finished product. I know the homeowners will be pleased. I just love seeing projects in this state so I thought I'd share it with the my readers.
